Job description

Northwest Respiratory Services seeks an experience Billing Operations Manager to lead our billing operations team and drive process excellence across the organization. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, oversee daily billing operations, support team development, and ensure accurate and timely revenue cycle performance.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with a strong background in medical billing operations, process improvement, and team management. If you are passionate about developing high-performing teams, optimizing workflows, and contributing to organizational success, we'd love to hear from you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of billing professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management
  • Oversee the daily operations of the billing department to ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices, claims, and payments
  • Conduct and administer monthly financial reporting and support organizational financial objectives
  • Establish staff schedules and assignments based on workload and operational needs
  • Direct recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for billing team members
  • Monitor departmental performance and ensure timely completion of month-end close activities
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide regular feedback, and establish individual and team goals
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of front-end and back-end billing operations, workflows, and processes while serving as an escalation resource
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve operational effectivensss
  • Develop and maintain computerized record management systems and reporting tools
  • Support key performance initiatives focused on metrics such as Third-Party Billing %, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and Account Receivable (AR) Aging.
  • Stay informed on insurance payer requirements, contract changes, and industry best practices

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, or related field

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, workflow management, and team supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
