Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Help at Home Manager will hire, orient, supervise, and evaluate the Direct Care Support staff through home visits, observation, monitoring records, and under the direction of the Program Director – Help at Home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision to Direct Care Support staff.
- Monitor the performance of the Direct Care Support staff.
- Conduct home visits to ensure quality care and service.
- Conduct evaluations and ongoing training for staff development.
- Solve problems and address issues as they arise.
- Ensure accurate documentation of client and homemaker activities and situations.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required if candidate does not meet education request.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred.
Required Experience:
- Three years of direct service experience working with the elderly and disabled required if candidate does not meet education request.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clear, concise, and grammatically correct communication.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Ability to accurately document client and homemaker activities and situations.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of community social service networks.
- Knowledge of the aging process, sensitivity to the elderly and disabled population which includes their needs.
- Knowledge of progressive discipline and willingness to initiate when appropriate.
