Job description

Position Summary
The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) will work closely with select reps in a defined area to help call on accounts to drive growth for Karl Strauss and all partner brands. ASR is also tasked with making last minute beer deliveries, covering for reps that are on vacation and works within all accepted policies and procedures.
  • Own your territory. ASR will be given a small territory to call on as though they are the acting representative. ASR must produce growth in this territory by selling into new accounts and selling deeper into existing accounts. Assigned territory will have plenty of opportunity for growth.
  • Work with all reps in the area to help with beer deliveries, covering of territory if rep is on vacation.
  • Be proactive at communicating to reps and Sales Admin relaying any feedback, concerns, or successes in the territory.
  • Follow all PNP's as defined by management.
  • Schedule, coordinate and work events in the territory to help drive growth in the territory.
  • Show growth for all brands including Karl Strauss in the territory.
  • Place relevant POS in all relevant accounts in territory to help build brand awareness of all brands.
  • Work to become a skilled draft tech to help diagnose and resolve basic draft issues.
  • Work to become a Server Level Cicerone within 90 days of starting in the role.

  • Beverage sales or merchandising experience preferred.
  • Minimum educational requirement is an Associate's Degree. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive buyer-seller relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Must be a self-starter, entrepreneurial, and capable of working at a high level with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a passion for spreading the goodwill of the Karl Strauss Brewing Company.
  • Must thrive in a community-focused and team-based environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel a must.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
