Job description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To ensure programs meet the customer schedule and budgeted profit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs final job review and resolves ongoing technical contractual job requirements (schedule, technical requirements, and budget).
  • Responsible for program budget, schedule, monitoring, and completion of goals and milestones in accordance with approved plans.
  • Establishes program organization and structure and priorities (resource management, scheduling, staff).
  • Maintains on-going communication with customers to accomplish program goals.
  • Reviews and approves waivers, deviations prior to submittal to customer.
  • Creates and manages program schedules.
  • Communicates program status to rest of organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-year college/university education (engineering or technical degree), or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office environment.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
