PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Production Manager will have a passion for leading teams to success. They will be responsible for managing up to 50 laundry associates per shift, ensuring that production goals are met in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will strive to acquire a deep understanding of the laundry process and the ability to operate, run, and troubleshoot laundry equipment.
In addition to technical expertise, the Production Manager will also be responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing the performance of laundry associates. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills as it involves interacting with a diverse group of employees including laundry associates, maintenance technicians, drivers/assistants, and management.
The Production Manager will monitor safety, quality, performance, and work practices of the laundry associates, providing quality review, training, and support as needed. They will establish clear shift goals for laundry associates, set work schedules, and track employee breaks and attendance. The successful candidate will also develop a deep understanding of each customer, including items processed, delivery times, process, costs, and other special details.
The Production Manager will implement processing efficiencies to maximize workflow and proactively communicate any delays or concerns with laundry associates, drivers/assistants, customer service, management, and maintenance staff. They will motivate, recruit, develop and lead all managers and associates, and be responsible for time and attendance management, performance reviews, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety, quality, performance, and work practices of laundry associates are monitored and always maintained.
  • Provide laundry staff with quality review, training, and support to enhance their skills and maximize their potential.

  • Set and effectively communicate shift goals for laundry associates, aligning with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Establish work schedules and meticulously track employee breaks and attendance to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of each customer, including processed items, delivery times, costs, and special details, to deliver customized and exceptional services.
  • Implement efficient processing methods and techniques to maximize workflow, reduce turnaround times, and increase efficiency.
  • Proactively communicate any delays or concerns with laundry associates, drivers/assistants, customer service, management, and maintenance staff, finding creative solutions to resolve challenges.
  • Motivate, recruit, develop, and lead all managers and associates to achieve individual and team goals, and drive continuous growth and development.
  • Ensure effective time and attendance management, performance reviews, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Quickly identify and clear common faults and operator errors to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Prioritize safety protocols and ensure that all staff adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet organizational needs.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is desirable.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Availability for rotating shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
  • Future domestic travel may be necessary for training and to visit other locations.
  • All workstations are climate-controlled for optimal comfort.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that undergoes frequent changes. o Able to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist for up to 12 hours.
  • Able to push, pull and lift 50+ lbs., unassisted.
