Job description

SEL has an exciting opportunity to welcome a new employee-owner to our Product Compliance team in Pullman, WA. As an Associate Compliance Engineer, you will work in a state-of-the-art test facility.

This vital role ensures products align with national and international regulatory standards. If you are a self-starter with a keen attention to detail, enjoy analysis, and strive for integrity and quality in your career, this position is perfect for you!

As an Associate Compliance Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of product safety standards and requirements.

  • Provide basic technical assistance to SEL product groups.

  • Create pristine product safety procedures and reports.

  • Review test documentation in accordance with ISO 17025 and other quality system and safety standard requirements.

  • Perform safety type tests as needed.

  • Provide mentorship for Product Compliance and R&D technicians.

This job might be for you if:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of product compliance and engineering practices.

  • Experience with common test equipment and testing practices.

  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Knowledge of one of more of the following compliance areas: UL, CSA, IEC, CE.
