Summary
Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Analyst supports HFC's multi-brand franchise system by conducting systemwide audits of franchisee activity, evaluating operational compliance, identifying areas of risk, and working directly with franchisees to implement corrective actions to ensure brand integrity. This role works cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and the Training teams to promote consistent brand standards, mitigate compliance risks, and maintain positive franchisor-franchisee relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance Audits
  • Conduct franchisee audits to assess compliance with company policies, franchise agreements, operational standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Review franchisee documentation, operational practices, and vendor relationships to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Prepare audit reports, document findings, and track corrective action plans.

Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management
  • Monitor audit trends, franchise obligations, and approved vendor requirements.
  • Identify and escalate significant compliance risks and support remediation efforts.

Franchisee Support & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary compliance contact for franchisees by addressing questions, providing operational guidance, and resolving compliance-related issues.
  • Build productive relationships with franchisees while reinforcing compliance requirements and company standards.

Program Development & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Legal, Operations, Finance, and Training teams to support compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials in conjunction with the brands.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate difficult conversations professionally and diplomatically.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and work independently.
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and/or compliance reviews.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Knowledge of franchise operations and compliance preferred.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or compliance-related fields is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, including conducting audits.

Physical and Workplace Requirements
  • Light-duty work environment - primarily office-based with minimal physical exertion.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking for presentations or facilitation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Hybrid model - Work from the office on Tues/Wed/Thurs and from home on Mon/Fri.
  • Travel as needed.
