SupplyHouse.com, an innovative e-commerce heating, plumbing, and HVAC supply company, we are searching for a Total Rewards Manager who will be responsible for designing, administering, and continuously improving SupplyHouse's benefits, leaves, compensation, and wellness programs. This role leads a small team and serves as the subject matter expert across all total rewards functions, ensuring our programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the company's people strategy. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and operational rigor, and is comfortable partnering across HR, Finance, and senior leadership. This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.
A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
Base Salary: $116,798 - $145,997 (annually)
Responsibilities:
  • Lead administration and continuous improvement of the company's full benefits portfolio, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, 401(k), wellness, and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Evaluate market trends, employee feedback, utilization data, and business needs to identify new benefit offerings and enhance existing programs.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for employees, people leaders, and HR partners on benefits, retirement, and leave-related matters.
  • Lead open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications, education materials, system readiness, and post-enrollment support.
  • Support the Sr. Manager in leading the 401(k) committee; coordinate governance, annual processes, and audit preparation.
  • Oversee annual wellness initiatives, health insurance utilization, wellness budgets, and the Financial Wellness program.
  • Ensure benefits programs comply with applicable federal and state regulations including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA
  • Identify opportunities to improve benefits processes, systems, and employee experience in alignment with Total Rewards strategy.
  • Oversee leave of absence administration and serve as escalation point for complex leave cases
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of benefits and total rewards professionals; set priorities and performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and build team capability through targeted development plans.
  • Execute and administer the compensation strategy set by the Sr. Manager, including maintaining salary structures, career ladders, and pay bands; surface recommended changes based on market data and internal equity analysis.
  • Conduct market pricing and salary benchmarking; recommend market-based and merit/equity adjustments to maintain competitive and equitable pay.
  • Administer the annual compensation cycle (merit, bonus, and incentive planning), including data preparation, budget modeling support, manager guidance, and communication of personal compensation statements.
  • Monitor pay transparency and pay-disclosure law requirements across applicable states (e.g., CA, CO, NY, WA, IL); conduct pay equity analyses and present findings and recommended actions to the Sr. Manager for review and decision.
  • Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and HR teams to ensure accurate administration, data integrity, process efficiency, and a seamless employee experience.
  • Assist in executing department projects as assigned.

Scope:
The Total Rewards Manager directly manages 5 team members: 2 Benefits Specialists, 1 Compensation Manager (who oversees 1 Compensation Analyst), 1 Leave Specialist and 1 Leave Associate - for a total team of 6. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, execution, and continuous improvement of SupplyHouse's benefits, compensation, and leave programs, ensuring operational accuracy, compliance, and a strong employee experience across all locations. The Manager serves as the primary people leader and subject matter expert for the team, setting performance expectations and building team capability, while partnering closely with the Sr. Manager on strategy, vendor decisions, and program design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, benefits, or compensation, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience administering broad-based employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of benefits and leave compliance frameworks (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA) and applicable state pay transparency and pay equity laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate program effectiveness, analyze data, and make recommendations based on utilization, cost, and employee experience.
  • Strong vendor management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Sound judgment and discretion managing sensitive and confidential employee information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and hands-on experience with a major HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, or Paylocity) and benefits administration systems.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field
  • Professional certification such as CEBS, CBP, CCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
  • Experience supporting multi-state workforce
  • Experience with benefits benchmarking, vendor implementation, or benefits enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience administering self-insured medical plans and serving on a 401(k) investment or fiduciary committee.
  • Experience designing or administering incentives, bonus, or equity compensation programs.
