Office Assistant & Board Secretary
Unionville-Sebewaing Area School District is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our Central Office team. This position provides administrative support to the district's business office, administration, and Board of Education. The ideal candidate is professional, maintains confidentiality, and has the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.
Position Details
  • Position: Office Assistant & Board Secretary
  • Hourly Rate: Starting at $17.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Part-time, year-round
  • Work Hours: Monday Friday, with office coverage until 5:00 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with Accounts Payable, including processing invoices and maintaining vendor records.
  • Assist with the district's WillSub substitute management system.
  • Monitor and respond to district bus radio communications as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other district documents.
  • Maintain confidential employee and district records.
  • Assist with filing, recordkeeping, data entry, and document management.
  • Provide administrative support to district administrators and the business office.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and assist with general office communications.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

  • Coordinate Board member communications, meeting notices, and required public postings.
  • Assist with Board elections, organizational meetings, and other Board-related administrative duties.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred.
  • Experience in a school district or educational setting is a plus.
