Description:

Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Production Supervisor who will plan, direct, coordinate and lead day-to-day functions for the team in order to properly deploy resources in alignment with meeting the company goals and objectives. Additionally, this supervisor will work cross-functionally with other departments, including, but not limited to: quality, materials, packaging & shipping, engineering, human resources, etc., to ensure that the daily needs of manufacturing are met.


This position is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities: To include, but not limited to the following:

  • Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
  • Able to overcome complex problems immediately to facilitate customer scheduling needs, then assist in determining a root cause, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Enforces company policies and guidelines
  • Recruits, hires, and trains employees
  • Assists workers by offering personal growth opportunities
  • Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
  • Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
  • Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues
  • Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
  • Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
  • Creates and maintains professional schedules
  • Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
  • Evaluates the condition of production equipment

Production Supervisor Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Business Management or Engineering and 3+ years previous supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required); Advanced Excel experience (preferred)
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports
  • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Experience working in a CNC Machining Environment (required)
  • Understanding of CNC machine controls and instrumentation
  • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting

Working Conditions:

  • Works in a machine shop environment.
  • May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
  • Must adhere to company safety policies
