We are looking for a bilingual professional who cares deeply about guest service, enjoys supporting a team and wants to grow into an early-career management role.

Why join Hotel Clarendon?

  • A permanent, full-time position of 40 hours per week

Your role

As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will work closely with the Front Office Manager to support daily operations and deliver the level of service for which Hotel Clarendon is known.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising daily front desk operations
  • Coaching, training and motivating team members
  • Supporting employees through complex situations
  • Ensuring a thoughtful and personalized guest experience
  • Handling complaints and sensitive guest situations
  • Encouraging room upgrades and sales opportunities
  • Replacing the Front Office Manager during their absence
  • Assisting at the front desk when operations require it
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and service

We are looking for someone who wants to get involved, keep learning and gradually build a lasting place within our management team.

Ready for your next step?

Do you want to develop your leadership in an iconic Quebec City hotel, surrounded by a team that truly knows and values you?

Apply today and show us how you would help bring the Clarendon experience to life for both our guests and your team.

This could be the right next step for you if:

  • You have strong hotel front desk experience
  • You have worked as a team lead, supervisor or assistant manager
  • You are ready to grow into an early-career management position
  • You understand Quebec’s hotel industry through professional experience gained in Quebec
  • You are fully bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
  • You stay calm and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment
  • You enjoy coaching people, not simply giving instructions
  • You are genuinely committed to outstanding guest service
  • You are comfortable with sales and room upgrade opportunities
  • You are available to work some evenings and weekends
  • You can operate a cash register and point-of-sale terminal

Experience with a hotel property management system, particularly Opera, is an asset. Additional language skills are also welcome.
