Senior Citizen Assistant Cook
Primary Duties:
  • Prepare all types of raw and cooked food (meat, vegetables, soups, and baked goods)
  • Knowledge in the use and care of basic kitchen equipment
  • Follows directions as written o recipes
  • Knowledge about presentation of appealing and acceptable meals and portions of food serving
  • Knowledge of proper care of raw and cooked foods
  • Executes proper sanitation and safety procedures
  • Maintains a clean and neat work area as well as inventory of kitchen equipment and food
  • Attends training sessions and performs other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to operate food equipment/machinery as well as other equipment
  • Some heavy lifting required
  • Meal delivery to eligible participants

Job Related Qualification Standards:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in kitchen management
  • Must have a valid driver's license, CPR Certified, First Aid Certified, Food Handlers Certified or willing to receive training
  • Must have acceptable driving record
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
