Job description

Under the direction of the Executive Director, Clinical Nurse Manager or Clinical Nurse Director, the WelbeHealth Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager is accountable for organizing and directing the day-to-day work at the clinic, overseeing clinic staff, and coordinating clinic flow to ensure effective clinical services are provided and quality of care standards are met. The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager may also provide oversight of the WelbeHealth RN Case Manager program.

This role is different because the Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager will:

  • Play a key role in launching WelbeHealth’s first center in New Jersey
  • Have oversight of clinic operations in addition to developing workforce plans, while occasionally stepping in when RN support is needed

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Oversee the direction, provision, and quality of nursing services provided to participants
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and performance management to LVNs and MAs, ensuring role clarity and training to practice at the top of their license
  • Oversee clinic operations and clinical care delivery, addressing acute and chronic participant needs and partnering with the interdisciplinary team to support smooth transitions of care
  • Support participants and families in resolving care-related concerns and ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Manage direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring
  • Practice within legal scope and authorization requirements as necessary

Job requirements Include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with which you practice required; bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population preferred
  • Nursing knowledge and experiences necessary to treat frail, elderly participants and oversee complex clinical events
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing supervisory (or nursing administration) experience in a licensed health care facility
