Preferred Care at Home of Charlotte South, is a Non-Medical In-Home Care agency with a mission to enhance the lives of seniors & their families has an opening for an RN Position. This is an ideal opportunity for an RN that is wanting a part-time flexible position. This RN position will be responsible for performing client assessments and creating and updating clients' plan of care. In addition the RN will conduct in-home supervisory visits every 90 days and supervise CNA's and HHAs.

The RN is a health care professional member of the care team who develops the client's Care Plan, Performs in-home supervisory visits every 90 days, ensures that the agency is operating in compliance with NC DHHS regulations as it pertains to licensed home care agencies and supervises caregivers. Flexible hours and a variety of responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial client-Family interview and assess client to develop the Care Plan (POC).
  • Set service expectations with Client-Family.
  • Perform in-home RN visits every 90 days to evaluate the scope and quality of care given to client.
  • Ensure that client charts are in good standing and are in compliance with NC DHHS regulations regarding licensed home care agencies.
  • Support and assist with periodic surveys with the Agency Director.
  • Assist with caregiver orientation if needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in NC.
  • Current negative TB screening.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Pass criminal record and background check.
  • Must hold a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NC DHHS regulations pertaining to home care agencies.
  • Prior Home Care Experience or Educator experience is a plus (2+ years)
  • Bi-Lingual (Russian/English; Spanish/English) is a plus
  • A positive attitude
  • Punctuality
  • Excellent time management, organizational and reporting skills
  • Current Drivers License and Automobile liability insurance issued in NC
