Chief Information Officer (CIO)


We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our organization's technology vision and operations. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our technology environment, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our mission to deliver exceptional oncology provider services and radiation oncology patient care. The CIO will oversee a talented team dedicated to maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems that support our organizational growth and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the organization's information technology roadmap and strategy that aligns with business goals, growth plans, compliance obligations, and operational priorities.
  •  Serve as a senior technology advisor to executive leadership, providing recommendations on technology investments, digital transformation, cybersecurity risks, infrastructure needs, and enterprise systems planning.
  •  Lead the IT department, including team structure, performance expectations, coaching, staffing, project prioritization, and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain IT governance practices, standards, policies, procedures, and controls to support security, reliability, accountability, and scalable operations.
  •  Oversee enterprise infrastructure, network operations, cloud services, business applications, telecommunications, hardware, software, and user support services.
  • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, incident response, data backup, and system resiliency plans are developed, tested, maintained, and aligned with organizational risk tolerance.
  • Provide executive oversight of cybersecurity strategy, including risk assessments, security monitoring, access controls, employee awareness, vulnerability management, audit readiness, and response to security incidents.
  • Support compliance with applicable privacy, security, healthcare, contractual, and regulatory requirements, including protection of con?dential, proprietary, employee, client, and patient-related information.
  • Evaluate and manage technology vendors, managed service providers, software partners, contracts, service level agreements, and technology-related procurement.
  • Develop and manage the IT operating budget and capital budget, technology roadmap, capital planning, licensing, renewals, inventory control and cost-control initiatives.
  • Provide executive-level leadership & project management for and major system & software implementations, ensuring appropriate planning, change management, communication, testing, training, adoption, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, reporting, data integrity, work?ow optimization, and enhanced user experience.
  • Research and evaluate technology solutions and investments for business objectives and needs.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting for IT operations, including system uptime, ticket resolution, cybersecurity posture, project status, budget performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technology trends, cybersecurity threats, healthcare technology standards, and best practices that may impact the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, service-oriented IT that balances security, compliance, responsiveness, innovation, and practical business support.
  • Represent the technology function in executive, board, client, vendor, audit, compliance, and strategic planning discussions as requested.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff and technology partners to ensure high-quality support, accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor department work, projects, support requests, and operational responsibilities.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, corrective action, and employment decisions in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop succession planning and cross-training strategies to support operational continuity and reduce single points of failure.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement enterprise-wide technology strategies.
  • Executive-level experience of IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, arti?cial intelligence, vendor management, and technology governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
