Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing various food items per recipes and maintaining clean and safe procedures and work areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to:

  • Perform pre-opening and on-going back line, hot box, and buffet checks.
  • Work on the line or buffet.
  • Coordinate line or buffet preparation and production.
  • Meet with Sous Chef daily to review special events and plan prep and production for the day.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures ensuring clean, organized, and safe food handling areas and procedures.
  • Coordinate and perform all pre-shift prep, set-up, restocking of cooler, and properly rotating food items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Opportunities for Internships, Apprenticeships, and Coordinated Work Study programs may be available in lieu of formal education and work experience requirements for this position for enrolled members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

  1. Required Education: N/A Preferred Education:HS DIPLOMA or G.E.D.
  2. Work Experience:
    1. Possess general knowledge of preparations of various food items required.
    2. Minimum of 1 years' experience as a cook in a professional food establishment.
  3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: N/A
    1. Possess excellent communication (verbal) skills.
    2. Be able to read, understand, and execute recipes correctly.
    3. Be highly organized and able to create and monitor work tasks with a group.
  4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:
    1. Required to have or obtain food handlers and alcohol service certifications.
  5. Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
  7. Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
  8. Must be committed to providing exceptional guest service through a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment. Aim to exceed guest expectations with attentive, personalized service and prompt responses and resolution.
