Appointment Scheduler - OB/Gyn

Overview:
Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Downtown Women OBGYN, located in SoHo, is currently seeking a a professional, organized and detail-oriented Medical Appointment Scheduler to join our team. As a call center professional, you play a key role in representing our practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings and possess strong communication and scheduling skills.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Professionally handle high volume of incoming departmental calls
  • Coordinate and manage patient appointments efficiently and accurately
  • Respond to inquiries regarding appointments
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients to provide appointment details and answer inquiries
  • Obtain precise demographic and insurance information for all patients
  • Maintain online patient scheduling daily
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Follow established workflow protocols
  • Ensure proper visit types for patient appointments
  • Assists with practice maintenance tasks
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized area
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed
  • Maintains all compliance standards as determined by the Medical Group
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience with Medical Appointment Scheduling, Medical Reception, or similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures are beneficial
  • EMR (Athenahealth) and Microsoft knowledge preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
