Job description

This is aย virtualย roleย open to candidatesย workingย fromย Oregon or Washington.ย While the position is primarilyย virtual, there may beย occasionsย when onsite work isย requiredย at a designated Legacy Health location.ย 

All new hires areย requiredย to travel to a Legacy Health office in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date to complete a newhire health assessment and newhire paperwork. Initial training and orientation may beย conducted onsite before transitioning to the remote schedule.

In this Epic Applications Systems Analyst II role, you will also formulate and define system functionality and objectives through research and fact-finding to support the development, configuration, and ongoing support of information systems.ย If you are passionate about using technology to make a meaningful impact in health care, weโ€™d like to hear from you.

Epic Applications Systems Analyst II- OpTime

With a strong customer service orientation, this role analyzes, designs, implements, and supports new information systems and modifications to existing systems by:

  • Collaboratively, with users and IS peers, works to understand and capture business needs and develops requirements for small to medium applications.
  • Analyzes and documents application processes and functions.
  • Defines design alternatives and recommendations and develops specifications, often in collaboration with business partners or vendors.
  • Builds or configures systems.
  • Develops and executes test scripts to ensure software accuracy, completion and validity.
  • Develops IS internal procedures and documentation.
  • Works with customer to troubleshoot and solve moderately complex problems and provide production support.
  • Communicates with customer regarding the status and completion of requests, in an agreed-upon, timely manner and/or in accordance with an applicable Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Documents in the ITSM system to define standards.
  • Thoroughly and diligently follows change control processes, when applicable.
  • Follows IS-defined support model and expectations in communicating with customers.
  • Uses Lean and ITIL principles to investigate and improve existing inter- or intra-team processes.

Education:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.ย 
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Experience:ย 

  • 2+ years of information technology experience in relevant healthcare or business area.
  • Has worked in a healthcare setting, and/or in a relevant operational area for the position (i.e., Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, etc.), and/or in an information technology role supporting a relevant operational area.

Skills:ย 

  • Knowledgeable about key concepts, current developments, and trends in information technology and information systems relevant to the position, including application configuration and system layers, system integration, and database fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform systematic, thorough analysis and problem solving, and to initiate client problem resolution.
  • Understanding of system integration key concepts and technical protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, conceive and describe systems, designs, flow charts, schedules, and requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including peers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional certifications may be required depending on the specific position, such as ITIL Certified, Microsoft Certified Professional, EHR Certification, HFMA.

USD $43.11 - USD $64.22 /Hr.
