Job description

Job Description/Responsibilities & Duties

  • Development and Maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and the Real Time Dispatch (RTD) application
  • Migration of existing Legacy application to a more modern platform using Python, Java, C#
  • Use Copilot to speed up the migration of legacy applications to a more modern platform
  • Test, Validate and Deploy code into the production environment
  • Creating, maintaining, and automating documentation (technical specs, process maps, user guides).
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve problems in a time sensitive environment, by Navigating through the Linux and Unix Scripts.
  • Collaborate with the Team members to come up with solutions to improve the efficiency of the system and business processes
  • Meet and collaborate with business for obtaining requirements
  • Work Self-reliantly in a challenging environment
  • Provide after-hour support based on a rotating on-call calendar

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field or relevant equivalent experience in the field.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in S/W Lifecycle Mgmt which includes the end-to-end management of a software application from initial conception and planning through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
  • Required:
    • Linux/Unix commands and scripting, PowerShell
    • Troubleshooting / Bug Hunting
    • Curiosity / Willingness to learn
    • SQL (Oracle a plus; Informix would be beneficial)
    • Proficient in OOPS programming languages like Java, C#, Python
    • Due to company’s involvement in government related products, only Citizens are eligible for the position
  • Collaboration tool: SharePoint, GitHub.
  • Key Skills: Strong Programming and troubleshooting skills, Good Communicator, Writing and Maintaining Technical Documentation, Ability to work in a dynamic environment
