DAY IN THE LIFE: As an AI & BI Engineer, you will help transform how VSS Group accesses, analyzes, and acts on data across the business. This is an AI-forward role focused on architecting and operationalizing a natural language analytics layer on top of the company’s ERP platform, including Odoo. You’ll design intelligent data pipelines, automate reporting workflows, build Power BI dashboards and semantic models, and deploy Microsoft Copilot Studio agents that allow business users to query live ERP data without relying on IT or BI to manually create reports.
You’ll partner closely with business leaders, ERP administrators, and stakeholders to understand reporting needs, map ERP data models, ensure data quality, and develop scalable BI and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing SQL, building ETL pipelines, configuring Copilot Studio agents, working with Power BI, and translating a senior leader’s reporting need into a practical analytics solution. Success in this role is measured by adoption, enablement, and helping the business make faster, smarter decisions with fewer manual reporting bottlenecks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems, with Odoo strongly preferred
  • Experience as a Data Manager, Data Analyst, Data Architect, BI Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role
  • Strong experience with SQL, Power BI, Excel, dashboards, reporting, and data analysis
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, semantic models, and reporting-ready datasets
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, or similar AI/automation tools strongly preferred
  • Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agent solutions using tools such as Azure AI Foundry, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks preferred
  • Experience with Python, APIs, SharePoint, Microsoft O365, sFTP, webservers, or data integration platforms preferred
  • Ability to map ERP data structures, including financial, inventory, sales, manufacturing, GL, AP/AR, and order data, into BI-ready models
  • Strong automation mindset with a desire to eliminate repetitive manual work through AI agents, scripting, RPA, or workflow automation
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to data quality, accuracy, and governance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technologies
  • Desire to be part of a growing and evolving culture with a strong bias toward adding value and improving existing processes
