About the Opportunity
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]
The Administrative Tech II supports the Treasury Department of FirstEnergy within the Accounts Payable group, performing analysis, processing transactions, and communicating with internal and external customers to resolve issues and ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide help desk support for both internal and external customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide professional, clear, and fact-based communication to internal and external customers via verbal and written channels, supporting issue resolution and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by investigating and resolving issues reported through the Help Desk or directly by business clients at all organizational levels, both internal and external.
  • Review of Supplier accounts within SAP and Coupa to resolve customer issues
  • Learning and understanding the business processes associated with supported applications.
  • Offering ideas and suggestions and working to improve processes within Accounts Payable and bringing assigned project to completion.
  • Process credits and vendor payments
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards and all FE policies and procedures.
  • Working with IT to ensure solutions.
  • Consistently delivering high quality results.
  • Developing effective working relationships with employees at all levels of FirstEnergy
  • Demonstrating a questioning attitude while maintaining commitment to the overall success of the team
Qualifications
  • Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to a working knowledge of SAP and Coupa.
  • Prior AP knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word)
  • Aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and solve non-routine problems with little or no guidance.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and plan activities, work on multiple concurrent tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to producing quality deliverables while adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships through collaboration and teamwork, across all levels and departments of the company
  • Proven team player, demonstrates a questioning attitude to learn, produce results and develop relationships
  • Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, propensity for continual growth.
  • Acts in an ethical and professional manner, with the highest level of integrity, and in compliance with the code of business conduct and all relevant policies and procedures
