Job Overview

As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting recruiting operations and delivering an exceptional candidate experience while learning how Talent Acquisition functions within a global organization. This role provides exposure to the full recruiting lifecycle through interview coordination, candidate communication, sourcing support, and recruiting administration. You will partner closely with our Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist and hiring teams to help ensure a positive and efficient hiring experience for candidates.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive student with previous recruiting, staffing, HR, administrative, customer service, or coordination experience who is interested in building a career in Talent Acquisition. Ideal candidates will be comfortable communicating professionally, managing multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment.

This internship is based on site at Komatsu's South Harbor location in Milwaukee's Harbor District. We are looking for a student who can begin in thefall semester and continue throughout the academic year. We offerflexible part-time hours with the opportunity for increased hours during school breaks and summer, based on business needs and your availability.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Support Talent Acquisition activities across corporate business functions including scheduling, candidate coordination, sourcing support, and recruiting administration
  • Coordinate phone, video, and onsite interviews with candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and interview teams
  • Manage interview logistics including calendar invitations, conference room reservations, visitor coordination, and candidate communication
  • Assist with reviewing incoming applications and organizing candidate pipelines within the applicant tracking system
  • Utilize SuccessFactors and other recruiting tools to maintain accurate candidate records, application statuses, interview notes, and recruiting documentation
  • Support sourcing efforts through LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms by identifying potential candidates and building talent pipelines
  • Draft and send candidate outreach communications, interview confirmations, follow-ups, and recruiting correspondence
  • Provide administrative support for recruiting operations and special Talent Acquisition projects
Qualifications/Requirements

Required

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Rising Juniors and Seniors (expected graduation in late 2026-2027) in good academic standing
  • Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, administrative support, campus leadership, or other highly collaborative professional environments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Professionalism and confidence interacting with candidates and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Preferred

  • Prior recruiting, sourcing, staffing agency, talent acquisition, nonprofit recruiting, or HR internship experience
  • Experience scheduling interviews, coordinating meetings, events, or projects
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, or recruiting platforms
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Human Resources, or Business Operations
  • Active involvement or leadership in student organizations, athletics, volunteer organizations, or campus activities
