Our group of trusted advisors assists a wide range of financial organizations in assessing opportunities, managing risk and delivering stakeholder value.

We are seeking an ACH Specialist to join our Financial Institutions Group in our Troy, Michigan office. The ACH Specialist will work as a member of the Internal Audit team.

Responsibilities

  • Complete ACH audit engagements and risk assessments.
  • Evaluate compliance with Nacha Operating Rules and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review, assess and analyze client internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare clear workpapers and reports supporting audit conclusions.
  • Complete assigned work within established scopes/procedures, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Research technical matters and communicate effectively with engagement teams and clients.

Qualifications

  • AAP certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification within 12 to 18 months of hire required.
  • Experience in financial institution operations, compliance, risk management, or internal audit preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ACH operations, Nacha Operating Rules, and real-time payment (RTP) systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Minimal travel to client locations, as needed.
