What You'll Be Doing

Our Payments team plays an important role in delivering accurate, timely Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing and exceptional support to our clients and partners. As an ACH Operations professional, you'll monitor daily ACH file activity, resolve exceptions, and process items such as reversals, deletions, returns, rejects, and corporate and consumer disputes. You'll respond to client inquiries and research requests, while working closely with internal partners and external financial institutions to address processing issues efficiently. You'll also contribute to policy, procedure, and training material development to help improve team effectiveness and service quality. In addition, you'll support audit and compliance activities, participate in testing and implementation for new ACH products and services, and complete reporting and analysis to support informed decision-making.

How You'll Succeed

  • ACH Processing & Exception Management - Monitor daily ACH file activity and resolve exceptions to support accurate and efficient processing. Complete reversals, deletions, returns, rejects, and corporate and consumer dispute activities in a timely manner.

  • Client & Partner Support - Respond to client inquiries and research requests with professionalism and urgency. Work closely with internal teams and other financial institutions to resolve ACH processing issues and provide clear updates.

  • Risk, Audit & Compliance Support - Partner with audit, compliance, and other control-focused teams to ensure activities are completed in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain strong attention to accuracy and documentation standards.

  • Continuous Improvement - Assist in developing and enhancing policies, procedures, and training materials to improve operational efficiency and the client experience. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen team processes.

  • Testing & Implementation - Participate in testing and implementation activities for new ACH products, services, and system enhancements. Support smooth transitions by identifying issues, validating results, and sharing feedback.

  • Reporting & Analysis - Complete reporting and analytical activities that help track performance, identify trends, and support business decisions. Use data thoughtfully to help improve processes and outcomes.

Who You Are

  • You have relevant ACH operations experience. You bring 5-10 years of banking and Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing experience, with a strong understanding of payments operations and exception handling.

  • You're analytically strong. You use critical thinking to investigate issues, identify root causes, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • You're highly detail-oriented. You work carefully and accurately, especially when managing time-sensitive transactions, exceptions, reporting, and documentation.

  • You're technically confident. You're proficient in Microsoft Excel and can gather data, build spreadsheets, apply formulas, and create clear, polished reports for business leaders. You're also quick to learn new systems and applications.

  • You bring change and improvement experience. Experience supporting system conversions, implementations, testing, and process improvement initiatives is strongly preferred. Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification and a college degree are considered assets.

This role has an expected salary range of $70,000 USD - $80,000 USD based on experience, qualifications, and location (the salary for different locations will be discussed during the interview). The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
