POSITION SUMMARY:ย ย The Hospital Accreditation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the organization maintains continuous readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys. This position supports departments in identifying and mitigating risk, interpreting standards, and embedding compliance into daily operations to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and person-centered care. The Specialist serves as the organization's subject-matter expert on accreditation and regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable requirements, changes, and best practices. This role actively monitors updates from accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies, translating evolving standards into actionable guidance and sustainable practices across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, including:ย Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Quality & Safety, Public Health, Health Informatics
  • A minimum of three years of Healthcare Compliance or Accreditation Specialist experience OR
  • A minimum of two years of Clinical/Hospital experience AND
  • One year of Quality/Process Improvement experience
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)ย from NAHQ within 18 months of employment
