Responsibilities for Accreditation Facilitator:

  • Review assigned sites for progress made toward completion of annual maintenance items (e.g. disaster drills, peer review, man down drills, etc.)
  • Review assigned sites for ongoing compliance items (e.g. staff meetings, MAC meetings, CQI/mortality meetings, compliance with sharps/narc/ID logs). This includes email notification to Health Services Administrator and Regional Nursing Director of any deficiencies.
  • Review content of MAC meeting minutes, staff meetings, and CQI studies for assigned sites.  Includes notification and education sent to Health Services Administrators and nursing regional directors.
  • Assist site Health Services Administrators with preparation for onsite NCCHC, ACA, and other applicable auditing body site visits.
  • Act as a liaison with each Health Services Administrator with accreditation questions and support, measured by a leadership assessment completed by Health Services Administrators of assigned sites.

Qualifications for Accreditation Facilitator:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have ACA (American Correctional Association) experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a correctional facility
  • Working knowledge of NCCHC Standards
  • Active RN or LPN/LVN license preferred
  • Experience with clinical accreditation or quality improvement
