We are seeking an experienced Account Manager with a passion for horticulture, client service, and team leadership. This is an opportunity to work with discerning clients who value excellence, creativity, and long-term relationships. You’ll be the face of Great Lakes Landscape Design, ensuring our projects reflect our reputation for superior craftsmanship and attention to detail. What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of landscape maintenance clients with professionalism and care.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure exceptional quality and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute seasonal maintenance, enhancements, and snow operations.
  • Prepare proposals for enhancements and additional services.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams to ensure expectations are exceeded.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and stay current with best practices in the green industry.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

Client-Facing Expectations / Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both residential and commercial clients across design-build and bid-based projects.
  • ·Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to understand and respond to their evolving needs.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for enhancements or additional services.
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of client properties by identifying concerns, recommending improvements, and ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and building client trust.

Communication

  • Follow up consistently with leads and clients to ensure alignment, clarity, and responsiveness.
  • Schedule and conduct site walk-throughs, delivering quarterly property analyses and updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and departments to align efforts and maintain project momentum.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to coordinate strategy and share updates on active accounts and prospects

Snow Removal • Oversee all client relationships tied to winter snow removal services.

  • Manage assigned house accounts based on geographic regions set by the Sales Manager.
  • Conduct site visits for pre-season assessments and post-storm touch-ups when necessary.
  • Document all site visits and conditions thoroughly for internal debriefs and handoffs to the production team.
  • Maintain detailed records of each property’s existing conditions to ensure accurate service delivery.


Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in the landscape or green industry.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and landscape maintenance standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple accounts.
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record.
