The Position

Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking a Director, Account Management, who will be a hands-on leader responsible for driving account planning and coordination across a portfolio of strategic client accounts. Reporting to the Vice President, this role partners closely with account team leads (Managing Directors, Senior Vice Presidents) and Vizient colleagues to ensure disciplined account planning, documentation, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage account planning processes and documentation for a defined portfolio of strategic accounts
  • Facilitate account team meetings, capturing client priorities, opportunities, risks, and follow-up actions
  • Partner with senior executives to identify growth opportunities, support strategic pursuits, and drive account expansion strategies
  • Support executive relationship management activities across assigned strategic accounts, ensuring appropriate engagement of KH and Vizient leadership
  • Monitor account health indicators and recommend actions to strengthen client engagement, mitigate risks, and accelerate growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain account management deliverables, including account plans, relationship maps, and pursuit trackers
  • Coordinate cross-practice alignment, ensuring client strategies leverage KH's full capabilities
  • Partner with Consulting Sales Enablement/Operations to ensure CRM reflects accurate account information and supports pipeline visibility
  • Analyze account performance, relationship coverage, and growth opportunities to provide actionable recommendations to account leadership
  • Support VP in rolling out standardized account management processes, tools, and training across the BU
  • Mentor and oversee Senior Associates supporting assigned accounts

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a background in account management, client engagement, or consulting with demonstrated success in supporting or leading strategic account planning efforts. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 7-10 years of relevant and related experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex client portfolios
  • Experience supporting strategic account growth, client retention, or business development initiatives
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to align client strategies and business development pursuits
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, with an emphasis on account documentation and pipeline visibility
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate actionable insights from client and account data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear deliverables and present to leadership audiences
  • Demonstrated professional judgment, integrity, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of collaboration and accountability

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000.
