Team Lead, Benefit Configuration

This role will oversee a team of pharmacy benefits experts who are responsible for the perfect set up for every one of our clients, down to every detail. The Team Lead, Pharmacy Benefit Design is responsible for flawless execution in the build out and delivery of all client plans and programs – whether new or changing – focusing on a team of highly detailed and knowledgeable resources who accurately complete the setup of plans, programs, member communication and other services on behalf of new or existing RxBenefits clients.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the Pharmacy Configuration Specialists team
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Pharmacy Configuration Specialists who are responsible for building all client plans and programs
  • Use technology and data to accurately forecast & assign work for your team, ensuring timely completion with high quality output
  • Meet KPI goals as defined for team and department
  • Drive individual development and team success through performance monitoring and evaluations, career path progress, regular one-on-ones with team members
  • Accurately maintain productivity measurements for your team and use to foster a culture of accountability and positive results for our clients
  • Ensure team is executing on implementation timelines utilizing internal tools to review, understand, and aligned to communicated deadlines
  • Participate in hiring, ensure effective training, and participate in QA
  • Continually analyze team processes/procedures and provide recommendations and solutions for improvement
  • Provide support on any risks, issues, or client escalations that may require additional oversight to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Acts as a source of information and answers to the team when best practice or process questions arise
  • Ensure team maintains current & accurate documents and applies them consistently and correctly in line with defined process
  • Partner with Operations Development team to identify training needs to ensure the Pharmacy Configuration team has the knowledge and skills to support the client
  • Understand PBM process and requirements, as well as internal RxBenefits process/requirements to accurately complete client set up
  • Participate in ongoing business process standardization
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 4+ years benefit implementation or pharmacy plan design with commensurate leadership experience
  • Proven experience with evaluating, interpreting, and configuring complex client benefit set ups
  • Employee benefits industry experience required; Pharmacy specific experience preferred
  • Working proficiency of company standard MS Windows and associated office productivity software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional level of thoroughness, embracing the devil in the details
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Skilled people coach and leader who can create a culture of accountability & energy
  • Process minded individual who understands the importance of following a consistent process to maximize efficiency & quality
  • Sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills; able to work with people of varied technical backgrounds and management levels
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
  • A passion for learning and a willingness for taking on new challenges
