Our client, a leading publisher of language learning products, is seeking a dedicated and driven Field Sales Representative to join their Higher Education team. Within the PA & NJ territory, this person will represent our clients print and digital language education products to new and existing accounts at Higher Education colleges, universities and programs.
This role is requires residence within one of the two territory states (PA or NJ) and a willingness to travel throughout the territory without restriction. Ideal candidate will reside in the Philadelphia, PA area. Candidates must meet this requirement in order to be considered. Relocation is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently in order to achieve sales quotas
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals
- Developa strong understanding of customer needs
- Deliver impactful and engaging digital andlive presentationsthat show how oursolutionscan help solve their challenges andachieve learning outcomes
- Partner with sales support team members in order to meet our customers needs
- Ensure utilization of and data accuracy in our CRM and other tools for effective territory analysis,planning and account management
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree minimum
- 2-3+ years' experience in a consultative sales, business development or account management role within the education technology (ed-tech), language learning or publishing industry
- Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually
- Excellent relationship building, prospecting, territory building, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts
Preferred skills:
- Experience teaching language courses in Higher Education
- Working knowledge of using Salesforce.com
- Proficiency in Spanish, German, French or Italian
- Advanced degree
