Software Engineer

As a software engineer at 219 Design, you will collaborate with other 219ers on a diverse set of projects to make impactful new products come to life. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software as part of an interdisciplinary team, managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Minimum qualifications

• You have a BS degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.
• You are an C++ or Python developer and believe delivering value to customers is your highest priority.
• You are excited and able to work on medical and other safety-critical devices.
• You have strong communication skills with the ability to be respectful and persuasive at the same time.
• You are collaborative, but can also handle autonomy and self-management.
• You live in or will move to California or North Carolina
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Bonus Points

• Qt experience
• Experience with other programming languages (with preference for C, Go, Java, Kotlin, Swift, in that order)
• Experience interacting with external hardware (motor drivers, data acquisition units, etc)
• Test-Driven Development
• Embedded firmware development
