Director of Supply Chain

Advanced Mission Partners-a wholly owned subsidiary of SSAI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain to join our team and lead our supply chain operations to new heights at our manufacturing facility in Linthicum, MD. The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing processes to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Essential Duties:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the company's supply chain operations and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials and services.
• Oversee inventory management to minimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
• Manage logistics and distribution to optimize transportation routes, reduce lead times, and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve mutual business objectives.
• Develop and implement processes and systems to monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred and a minimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, demand planning software, and transportation management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence others at all levels of the organization.
