Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Position Summary: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Location: Hamden, CT

Amphenol Spectra-Strip is a leader in hyper scale data center bulk wire solutions. We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises all production activities performed by employees
• Ensure the efficient execution of the build plan between 2nd and 3rd shift operations
• Monitor, report, and drive action plans pertaining to key metrics such as production, material usage, scrap and downtime
• Drive quality improvements and take appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
• Closely interface with support groups such as Engineering , Planning, HR, and Marketing
• Manage continuous improvement activities to that improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Help manage department goals for training, certification, and employee growth
• Promote a safe work environment within the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience
• Minimum 5 years of directly related experience in production and with supervisor responsibilities
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of ISO certification process controls.
• Ability to work cross functionally with internal business partners
• Working ability with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems
