PIP Associate Attorney

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our  Personal Injury Family in PIP Litigation department! The ideal candidate is hardworking, ambitious and has an interest and willingness to learn and grow!

Requirements

•   1-2  years of experience in PIP (preferably plaintiff but not required)
• proficient in speaking and/or writing another language besides English (preferably Spanish or Haitian Creole)
• A license in good standing to practice law in Florida
• The ability to handle a large and active caseload from the intake process      through negotiating with insurance companies
• Must be a self-starter and goal oriented with a focus on long term career goals
• Pride in your client-focused practice
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow you to effectively manage relationships with a variety of people including – investigators, adjusters, opposing counsel, clients, etc.
• Ability for assembling and organizing information gathered during intake for presentation at settlement conferences or pre-suit mediations
• Must be competent and proficient in the use of different computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), case management software, and file organizing software
• Draft/review substantive demands and other correspondence to insurance companies
• Respond to demand offers and other correspondence
• Attend recorded statements, examinations under oath, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients
• Ability to negotiate settlements
• Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment
