JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Planning & Analysis ("FP&A") Analyst is primarily responsible for budgeting/forecasting and profitability analysis, as well as a diverse array of other functions including interest rate risk, liquidity, stress testing, and capital compliance. This position is for highly motivated and focused individuals who are interested in being part of a fast paced and hardworking team of accounting, finance, banking, and systems professionals and have effective exposure to all major areas of the bank.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides senior management and executives with the analysis and information they need to make major operational financial, and strategic decisions
- Operates a key role within the quarterly projection and annual budgeting process
- Performs analysis of FNWD stock performance, including comparison to other NASDAQ-traded banks and other relevant banking peers
- Monthly monitoring and analysis of budget and forecasts for organizational profitability
- Supports monthly and quarterly calculation, projection, analysis, and reporting of interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital position.
- Supports the funds and liquidity management process by analyzing and providing reporting on competitor interest rates and peer analysis
- Supports the corporate treasury management process and the Contingency Funding Plan
- Monthly monitoring and analysis of noninterest income against budget and projections
- Coordinates timely asset liability modeling validations with external parties and internal audit
- Perform additional analytics, reporting, or other duties as assigned, commensurate with experience, professional growth, and ability level/performance
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required, and in accounting or finance strongly preferred
- 2 years of banking experience in a similar or otherwise relevant corporate finance role is required
- Exposure to Interest Rate Risk Management and Asset Liability Management preferred
- Financial Planning & Analysis-level experience preferred
- Other certifications, such as Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst certification preferred or willingness to attain
- Skilled with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word, and adaptable to various systems/software currently utilized at the Bank
- Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to communicate analysis effectively through verbal and written communication
- Ability to be highly accurate while working under tight deadlines
