Position Requirements:

  • Transfer data between environments such as external file transfer, internal databases, and file systems.
  • Administration of managed file transfer applications.
  • Process and analyze data including, but not limited to, financial market data, consumer complaints data, and operational data that is under the jurisdiction of CFPB.
  • Perform data quality assurance tasks such as writing data validity, consistency, and completeness checks.
  • Document and maintain operating procedures and data governance protocols.
  • Support business users with data management needs such as data access, ingest, and hygiene.
  • Develop & analyze business requirements for implementing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) techniques and data processing.
  • Work with data architects, business users, and business managers to identify and develop data processing procedures, metrics, and standards.
  • Manage PostgreSQL database configuration and orchestration.
  • Assist in the development of procedures for provisioning access to data.
  • Manage partnerships with technical implementation teams.
  • Automate and administer data pipelines and processes.
  • Gather, maintain, and update dataset metadata in the data catalog.
  • Administration and user support for databases (Such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.), analytics applications (Such as R, Python, SAS, STATA, MATLAB, etc.), and operating systems (Windows, Linux, or Mac).
  • Management of data services using Cloud offerings in AWS.
  • Administer updates to master entity data and entity resolution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience developing with Python and SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience with loading data into databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
  • 2+ years of experience automating data transfers using file transfer technologies such as SFTP.
  • 2+ years of experience finding opportunities to leverage automation capabilities.
  • 2+ years of experience managing ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • 2+ years of experience monitoring and providing issue support for a data and analytics environment.
  • 2+ years of experience developing or leveraging tools to provide automated monitoring capabilities for data systems, data platforms, and data pipelines.
  • Demonstrating excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Determining and prioritizing work tasks, including identifying and proposing new work.
  • Meeting deadlines in an organized manner.
  • Documenting and recommending best practices and articulating process improvements and required changes.
  • U.S. Citizen - Per Federal Govt Sector U.S Citizenship is required
  • Public Trust Clearance or Ability to pass Federal background check is required for Public Trust Clearance

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of experience Migrating data from local server environments to a modern cloud environment (e.g.
  • AWS, Azure, GCP), including the movement of large amounts of data.
  • 1+ years of experience Working with compliance teams such as Cybersecurity to ensure the design meets
  • security requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience using containerization technology such as Kubernetes or Mesos.
  • 1+ years of experience with Shell scripting.
  • 1+ years of experience developing ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • 1+ years of experience Sharing knowledge and awareness of alternative Cloud environments and services.

Location: Hybrid onsite and work from home flexibility - DMV Metro Area
