Position Summary Information
Job Description SummaryIs to be the primary data entry specialist for the program, as well as assisting the Director with the daily data entry of participant information into the SSS database to ensure efficient, effective monitoring and progress tracking. Is responsible for performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks and to support daily operations in an office setting

Required EducationAssociate Degree
Preferred EducationBachelor's degree
Required Experience - One year of experience working with low-income, first-generation, academically disadvantaged students, preferably college students
- One year of experience in the use/application of assessment instruments and diagnostic tests
Preferred ExperienceWorking knowledge of college financial aid; experience working with disadvantages students in providing financial/economic literacy activities and information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Create a friendly atmosphere for students who call or enter the TRIO Lab
- Responsible for all data entry and report creation into Student Access
- Greet and assist potential TRIO SSS students with the TRIO application process
- Direct potential and current TRIO SSS students to appropriate services according to the student's needs
- Perform clerical and secretarial duties for the TRIO Lab
- Maintain and organize record-keeping and filing system for the project
- Act as a telephone and office receptionist
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of TRIO Student Support Services
- Assist and encourage student participation in cultural-enrichment activities.
- Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
