Job Description Summary
The Client Data Specialist at is a vital role focused on maintaining customer account accuracy and completeness, specifically related to payer contracts and fee schedules. This position supports our Client Success Managers and plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and successful account readiness.
Job Description
What You'll Do:

  • Maintain up-to-date payer contracts and fee schedules for customer accounts.
  • Perform data discovery and entry tasks, including formatting spreadsheets and accurately modeling fee schedules.
  • Read, interpret, and understand payer contract terms.
  • Quickly complete task lists and provide timely updates on progress.
  • Deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work to ensure account readiness.
  • Communicate with clients about the details of their payer contracts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for additional research, problem resolution & preventative measures.
  • Support escalated and complex issues further investigating solution and clearly communicating with stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client service strategies and high-quality client service experience.
  • Support other team members during peak times or when additional help is needed.
What You'll Bring to Zelis:
  • Associates degree & 1 year or HS Diploma and 3 yrs
  • Good understanding of physician and/or hospital reimbursement methodologies.
  • Experience modeling fee schedules or working with physician and/or hospital billing.
  • Requires proficiency using AI tools skillfully with an understanding of how to develop/create intelligent prompts and/or agents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and support tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
