Senior Estimator

HELLAS/CG&B CONSTRUCTION an A-GENERAL ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR specializing in public works civil construction is looking for an experienced full-time Senior Civil Contracting Estimator to support our Las Vegas, Nevada operation that will be based out of our Henderson, Nevada office. Qualified candidates will possess 4+ years’ experience in takeoff and estimating for all aspects of private and public works civil construction.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

• Prepares and assists team in accurate takeoffs and estimates for all aspects of private and public works civil construction to include: demolition, excavation, grading, wet utilities, site concrete, structural concrete, roadway construction and parks and recreation
• Construction document review and analysis
• Submitting requests for information to clarify existing conditions and proposed improvements
• Developing materials and subcontractor resources and relationships in all market areas
• Build effective relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and Project Managers.
• Analyzing and evaluating existing historical cost data to determine pricing.
• Providing value engineering options to optimize successful contract award opportunities
• Preparing and soliciting bid requests for subcontractors
• Reviews general conditions, schedule, scope of work, equipment and labor projections, and site logistics.
• Performing site visits on future bids to determine existing conditions and proposed scope of work
• Attending pre-construction meetings to gather all pertinent data
• Project phase and resource scheduling
• Prepare thorough documentation files for hand off to operations department for implementation of projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Construction Management.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 5+ years’ experience in private and public works Civil Construction Estimating to include: demolition, excavation, grading, wet utilities, site concrete, structural concrete, roadway construction and parks and recreation
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or ability to learn quickly required.
• Must be able to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Hellas/CG&B CONSTRUCTION is fully operational and has unlimited bonding capacity. This position will be located in our Henderson, Nevada office. Position will be required to train and travel to the Corporate Headquarters in Austin, Texas at least once a month, less once fully trained.

Salary for this role will be based on candidates experience.
