Job Description

Portfolio Manager

Williamsville, NY

Commercial Credit Group Inc (CCG) is an independent national commercial equipment finance and leasing company focused on purchase money and refinance transactions in the construction, fleet transportation, waste/environmental and machine tool industries. CCG does equipment financing different than any other lender. We consider the character, collateral and cash flow of the borrower to make our credit decisions, often allowing us to lend money when a bank or captive lender won't. We realize there are ebbs and flows to the business and take the time to listen to the customers' stories. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, CCG has made NC’s Mid-Market Fast 40 List for the 10th time.

CCG has a Portfolio Manager position available in its Williamsville, NY office. This position has visibility and interaction with senior management and offers career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Oversight: Manage and monitor the performance of the branch’s loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess credit risks associated with the portfolio, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to support portfolio growth and customer retention.
  • Collections Strategy: Develop and implement effective collections strategies to minimize delinquencies and mitigate credit losses.
  • Recovery and Repossession: Guide all recovery efforts in the repossession of obligor collateral when necessary, coordinating closely with repossession companies and other relevant parties.
  • Asset Management: Work collaboratively with the asset management team to review off-lease inventory levels and assist in liquidation efforts, ensuring optimal management of assets.
  • Vendor Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with remarketing organizations, asset appraisers, repossession companies, inspection companies, and other vendors providing services that support CCG’s recovery and remarketing efforts.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and analysis on portfolio performance, delinquency trends, recovery efforts, and other key metrics for senior management review.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency within the portfolio management function, continually seeking ways to improve recovery and remarketing processes.

Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in portfolio management or related field, preferably in commercial equipment finance or leasing.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing portfolios and implementing risk management strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

CCG offers an entrepreneurial small company approach to doing business emphasizing customer service and relationships with financial capabilities of a large institution. For more information please visit us at www.commercialcreditgroup.com.
