JOB DESCRIPTION
Highly motivated, independent and proven professional. Estimate, sell, and manage projects with a complete and comprehensive review of architectural, mechanical and electrical plans and specifications; mainly, but not limited to, new construction.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong estimating, project management, and sales skills are essential in successfully fulfilling the tasks required in this role.
- HVAC Estimating and project management skills.
- Experienced with pricing, costing and quoting for items such as HVAC fans, diffusers, pumps, louvers, dampers, electric heaters, and variable volume boxes.
- Working with manufacturers to provide information to them for factory quotes.
· Proficient computer skills specifically with estimating and job cost tracking software.
· Strong organizational and communication skills, must be capable of multitasking and have the ability to prioritize.
· Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, manage tight deadlines, demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Candidates that have architectural, engineering or construction background is desirable but not required.
Job Responsibilities
- Review bid requirements for projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are documented and accounted for.
- Identifies HVAC equipment and associated materials and prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Prepare takeoffs and work with sales department to secure vendor pricing.
- Computes costs and manually enter figures into internal bid proposal software.
- Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Properly turn over bid documents to Project Estimators by date/time assigned.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Identify, manage and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring bids and work are completed timely.
- Develop and sustain working relationships with clients through direct communication.
- Meet multiply deadlines, possess the ability to learn and be flexible.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
