POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Building Controls Technician is responsible for taking a Building Automation Systems design and implementing on site, then confirming operation through commissioning and documentation with minimal supervision. The individual must show desire to self-manage to meet commitments and timelines. Promotes business and technical solutions while managing long term customer relationships and partnerships. The position will require mechanical knowledge for the success to build and test custom programs as well as interface with existing programs or factory units. Strong understanding of communication protocols, including but not limited to BACnet, Modbus, LON, Networking required. The company will provide an office, vehicle use compensation, and cell phone. Compensation will be dependent upon experience and skill set. Bonuses are based on profit sharing and performance. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.
  • Building automation custom programming, JCI and N4 Tridium would be a plus.
  • Basic electrical knowledge to perform point to point commission of systems installed.
  • Thorough and accurate documentation for as-built documentation and commission reports.
  • Integration in all standard protocols.
  • Communications with the foreman and project manager for the duration of the project.
  • Occasional service work.
  • Customer training at the completion of the project.
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with Tempco core values: safe, accountable, professional, motivated, can-do, and curious.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 4+ Years in the building automation industry with a reputable record.
  • Mechanical engineering degree beneficial but not necessary.
  • Computer science or electrical engineering degree beneficial but not necessary.
  • Working knowledge or Microsoft office tools.
  • Visio and CAD experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of plans and specification required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment required.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong programming skills.
  • Ability to be punctual, reliable, professional, and presentable.
  • Ability to engineer a controls submittal is a plus, but not necessary.
