Job description

Senior Building Automation Programmer

Direct Hire | Blaine, MN | $90k - $120k (DOE)

We are seeking a Senior Building Automation Engineer to lead the design and execution of BAS projects from concept through completion. This role will provide technical leadership while working closely with customers, project teams, programmers, and field personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead BAS system design for commercial and industrial projects
  • Develop submittals, system architecture, and as-built documentation
  • Coordinate directly with customers, contractors, engineers, and field teams
  • Review specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Support installation, startup, and project execution teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical development
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Assist with project meetings and technical problem-solving

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of BAS or controls engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, BAS architecture, and networking
  • Experience with BACnet, IP networking, VFDs, and industrial controls
  • Ability to independently design and support complex BAS systems
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Siemens BAS preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
