Job description

Our Client is seeking a Senior Building Automation Programmer to lead the design, programming, and deployment of advanced building automation systems. This role focuses on complex HVAC control solutions, system integration, and performance optimization while serving as a senior technical resource to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and commission BAS/BMS systems based on project specifications

  • Translate sequences of operation into efficient and reliable control logic

  • Lead project execution to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget

  • Integrate automation platforms and third-party technologies (e.g., IoT and network protocols)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced system and connectivity issues

  • Support system startup, testing, and optimization in the field

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams

  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to technical skill development

  • Participate in on-call support as needed

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls

  • Strong expertise with Johnson Controls platforms and ABB Cylon systems

  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and complex control sequences
