Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Luxury lifestyle hotel in the heart of West Hollywood is currently in search of a seasoned, insightful, and innovativeDirector of Roomsa thoughtful leader with a gift for service and an instinct for leadership, whose most important roles are to ensure the excellence of the entire guest experience, and our mission and the brands operational and financial outcomes are exceeded.

The Director of Rooms will play a quintessential role in the hotels success as a thought leader who can -and will- impact change and bring our company ethos to life.

The Director of Rooms is responsible for the performance of the Rooms Division, including Front Desk & Housekeeping. This is an executive level position reporting to the Hotel Manager. The successful candidate demonstrates their ability to produce balanced financial, guest experience and team member satisfaction outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of all front office operations including front desk, concierge, bell/door team members
  • Ensuring the quality and productivity of housekeeping (in-house) functions that guarantee the cleanliness of all guest areas, high levels of personal service delivered by housekeeping team members and a stable work force
  • Excellence in appearance of all areas throughout the hotel
  • Producing constant improvement in guest experience satisfaction metrics
  • Showing year-over-year improvement in team member satisfaction scores throughout the division including maintaining low turnover and high promotion-from-within ratings
  • Controlling payroll and direct expenses in line with the budget and varying levels of business using corporate-wide technology and other systems
  • Participation in weekly forecasting and scheduling activities
  • Providing assistance in developing the annual hotel budget
  • Preparation of action plans as directed by management.
  • Daily reviews of operating outcomes (including corrective action if required)
  • Maintaining high visibility with associates and guests


REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 6 years of related work experience in an upscale or luxury hotel environment
  • Advanced knowledge of front office & housekeeping operations
  • A strong leader with a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
  • Excels at communication, both verbal and written
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base Salary Range:$140k-$150k
  • Bonus: Up to 30%
