Position: Contract (July 2020- December 2020/January 2021) Location: Costa Mesa, CA Salary: DOE

We are currently look to hire a contracted Marketing Communications Manager to working in our Marketing Department while our current Marketing Manager is on leave. The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and execution of internal and external communications; including global and regional marketing campaigns, analyst relations support, public relations, lead generation, and the development of other strategic communications. The person in this role will be responsible for developing and supporting the execution of all brand management and marketing communication programs for SYSPRO including campaign creation support, social media, public relations, analyst relations, thought leadership, sales enablement, digital, customer success stories, photography and video.

The Marketing Communications Manager position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Create, manage, and execute quarterly and yearly Marketing Communications plan based on strategic goals set by Global and Regions Executive Teams
  • Create, manage, and execute quarterly and yearly Marketing Communications budget based on strategic goals set by Global and Regional Executive Teams
  • Creatively deliver the strategy, messaging, and tactics to increase the company profitability through the utilization of various marketing communication activities and campaigns
  • Manage available resources to improve effectiveness, productivity, and cost efficiencies
  • Work under the direction of the corporate marketing and with IT, web, creative teams, and agencies to execute specific initiatives and manage projects to timelines, budget, and resources
  • Identify marketing objectives and target market opportunities to expand footprint of company products and services
  • Work with various team members to implement strategic marketing communications programs to build brand awareness and revenue
  • Develop and articulate content strategy to support personas and buy cycle stages for a variety of audiences including prospects, customers, influencers, analyst, and press
  • Write and edit internal and external communications to support Global and Regional Marketing & Communications efforts. Review and edit communications for quality, accuracy and tone to ensure alignment with company brand standards
  • Keep internal and relevant external audiences informed on the company’s objectives, progress, and developments
  • Work with team members to ensure proper messaging for new information that needs to be disseminated through offer communications mediums including the company website, partner portals, intranet, social media, and more
  • Work with marketing leadership and demand generation to build and deploy effective automated lead nurture campaigns and sales funnel support using a variety of technology tool sets, like marketing automation
  • Collaborate with other departments to gain a thorough understanding of the market product benefits and company objectives to write consistent, targeted, brand relevant, and compelling marketing copy that reflects strong audience specific messaging
  • Constantly explore, recommend, use, and optimize communication methods, vehicles, and technologies to engage with various audiences
  • Provide recommendations on strategic marketing and sales initiatives
  • Measure and report effectiveness of marketing campaigns against goals.
  • Assess content marketing and brand awareness program effectiveness
  • Responds to media requests for information and implements earned media campaign; produces news releases, news materials, online content, and program announcements.
  • Assist and manage with analyst relations efforts including RFIs, briefings, events, content creation, and general relationship building
  • Manage and assist communication strategy for company events like conferences, roadshows, awards, etc.

 

Qualification/Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Or the person in position must have the minimum required number years of experience.
  • 8+ years of experience working in marketing communications, B2B software is a preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Detail oriented, assertive and efficient
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Problem solving and decision making
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a broad cultural spectrum
  • Analytical skills
  • Proven B2B experience preferably with a Cloud or ERP solution with complex sale
  • Display advertising campaigns for lead generation/nurturing, and analytics
  • Marketing databases
  • SEO/SEM
  • Budget management acumen including allocation, optimization, forecasting, and resource assessment
  • Full knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of digital communication platforms
  • Business Software or manufacturing and distribution experience is a plus

Travel Requirements:

  • 25% of the time as related to SYSPRO conferences or specific requirements for Marketing
