Job description

Job Description C2's client, a Milwaukee-based global leader in water solutions, seeks a contract Marketing Manager to drive the marketing behind two simultaneous product launches for a lean, fast-moving team. The company designs and manufactures products that conserve and protect water across commercial, industrial, and residential markets, and odds are you have used one without knowing it. Their filtered bottle filling stations have kept tens of billions of single-use plastic bottles out of landfills and waterways.

With more than a century of history, repeated recognition as one of America's Most Responsible Companies, and the large majority of revenue coming from products that conserve water and reduce waste, this is work you can feel genuinely good about. The Milwaukee marketing team is in a high-activity launch period, with two products moving through engineering at the same time plus ongoing run-the-business work in packaging and labeling. They need a marketing generalist and driver: someone with real commercial understanding of what a launch takes, who coordinates across functions, holds timelines and stakeholders together, and matches a lean team's pace from day one.

This is not a writing or design hire, though those skills are welcome in the kit; it is a hire for a marketer who can stay in their lane, work autonomously, take direction, and drive results. Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 to 6 months, full-time (Central Time) Location: Milwaukee, WI; onsite Monday through Thursday, remote Friday Compensation: Commensurate with experience, as a W2 employee of C2 Benefits: C2 talent working 30+ hours/week for 30 consecutive business days are eligible for medical, dental, and optional vision insurance, life insurance, and PTO accrual; 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match available for enrollment after 90 days. Technology: Hardware provided by the client (PC).

The team works in Wrike, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); AI tools such as Claude or Copilot are a plus. Responsibilities: Drive marketing deliverables for two active product launches moving through engineering Own packaging and labeling projects from the marketing side Coordinate campaign execution, content development, and communications Maintain timelines and cross-functional stakeholder alignment Support general marketing operations Identify and proactively surface process improvement opportunities Requirements: 5 to 10 years of marketing experience with a track record of owning product launches end to end Clear commercial understanding of what a launch requires: timelines, go-to-market, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination Experience in B2B marketing, manufacturing, or industrial markets Strong project and timeline management across multiple concurrent initiatives Functional writing and design ability, useful as tools in the kit rather than the core of the role Strong communicator who knows when to escalate and when to just solve it Nice to Have: Familiarity with Wrike or similar marketing PM platforms Experience with packaging and labeling in a product marketing context AI tool fluency (Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) Not your type of gig, but know someone who would be interested. Refer a qualified candidate, and if they get the job, you get a signing bonus.

(Make sure they mention your name as their referral source so you get your well-deserved credit!) All candidates must be located and authorized to work in the United States. C2 does not sponsor work visas. No C2C.
