Job Description

Growing OB/GYN practice looking to add a talented Physician Assistant to the team!

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York State.
Board certification through NCCPA
BLS/ACLS certification
1-2 years experience in a surgical field or in OB/GYN preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

Practice within the scope of designated privileges
Provide direct care to individuals and families
Perform diagnostic evaluations (including pelvic exams, gynecologic ultrasounds) and make appropriate assessments
Perform basic wound management
Perform appropriate documentation of patient care
Develop a care plans in collaboration with the physician which include sending medications, prior authorizations, referrals, health care guidance & counseling
Reviewing results and surgical pathology
Understand and participate in all aspects of perioperative patient care and counseling, which includes weekend rounding responsibilities and triaging call service
Have prior experience with or be willing to learn operating room skills to assist in surgery using traditional laparoscopy and the Da Vinci Robotic System.
