Shop Helper

Chant Engineering, located near Doylestown PA, is looking for an energetic full-time Shop Helper. The full time Shop Helper will assist with our production team needs. The Shop Helper is an entry level position and for the right person has the potential for growth within the shop team. The qualified Shop Helper must have a current and valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug and background test.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Welders / Fabricators drilling holes and cutting materials for jobs.
• Degrease, grind and clean equipment for painting.
• Paint industrial equipment.
• Assemble various products.
• Clean the shop as needed.
• Assist the shipping department as needed, examples: assisting with receiving, making shipping crates, cleaning equipment before shipping and loading equipment.
• Perform other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Capable of using various hand tools.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
