Production Supervisor

Roechling Industrial Cleveland has been a pioneer in the manufacturing of commercial fiberglass products since 1946.  In the electrical insulation industry, the journey began with the production of semi-finished sheet, rod, and custom profiles.  Since then, we have diversified into servicing other industrial sectors such as ballistics, corrosion, thermal insulation, and other custom needs.  We have an exciting opportunity for an Off-Shift Production Supervisor at our South Euclid, OH facility.

The Production Supervisor will oversee and manage production shift employees to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Train and manage production employees on the assigned shift.
• Oversee the daily workflow and assign work based on the production schedule.
• Troubleshoot production equipment when necessary.
• Maintain and replenish raw materials within the department.
• Ensure testing is complete for quality department.  
• Communicate effectively with all departments.
• Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.

• Review and process timecards for accuracy.
• Ensure employees maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Complete accident reports and follow-up with corrective actions when applicable.
• Assure that the department is compliant with standards for hazardous waste disposal.
• Conduct disciplinary action when necessary.
• Cover PTO and other time off for supervisors within the department.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

• 5 + years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Possess a proven track record of supervising others and leadership skills.
• Self-starter with initiative to tackle projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•   Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production problems as they arise.
• Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
