The Sr. Sourcing Manager will be responsible for strategically leading the sourcing process of the procurement cycle across direct and indirect spend categories across business unit functions including IT, HR, Clinical/Medical, Marketing, Finance, Business Services.
The Sr Sourcing Manager will assist in the define the strategic approach and methodology for management of major spend categories (>$1m).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee strategic sourcing calendar by reviewing projects to identify where sourcing opportunities could achieve greater savings; includes establishing a methodology for identifying high value sourcing spend areas where common approach or supply base can be implemented.
- Create and track KPI's across the spend categories and teams
- Perform financial analysis to generating insights that enable year-over-year cost decrease in total costs of goods and services, while supporting the financial impact of supplier quality and service levels
- Analyze historical spend performance and report on Procurement performance against annual and strategic initiatives
- Evaluate new vendor financial health, evaluate financial risk of existing vendors, and assist in the financial evaluation and implications to the Company when entering/exiting a vendor agreement
- Develop and execute recommendations that align sourcing with overall department and company goals.
- Leverage information from category teams or external sources; preparing final presentations; and reviewing drafts with procurement and sourcing management.
- Lead sourcing activities; establish and track progress towards annual and 3-year targets across spend category areas.
- Identify opportunities, develop business case, and further develop a sourcing category team's capability to strategically source or manage indirect suppliers/spend through the implementation of best practice processes or technologies;
- Establish the mechanism(s) to gather and share industry trends, macro-economic impacts to Indirect spend-areas and suppliers, (i.e., disruptive technologies, industry trends, changing legislation and policies, commodity pricing).
- Lead and direct sourcing team members across enterprise-wide strategic sourcing activities including spend/supplier analysis, benchmarking, RFx/Supplier selection, negotiating pricing and contract terms, change management
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders across internal and external teams; analyzing and identifying current areas of opportunity and future needs; identifying and understanding existing and future supply leverage points and aligning strategies.
- Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures; document the events of the procurement project and maintain written record of the interactions and outcome of the project.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of procurement/sourcing , spend management, and or supply chain finance with some supervisory experience.
- Collaborating with internal / external customers in a highly collaborative, effective manner.
- Experience in cost reduction and performance improvement efforts
- Possess effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of associates and management.
- Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and flexibility skills in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with attention to detail required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or comparable.
- Strong communication skills; ability to build relationships cross-functionally
- Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task successfully and prioritize while meeting critical deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
